"The only impossible journey is the one you never begin".
- Tony Robbins
We have often heard this phrase but regularly forget to take the advice. Below are a few tips on taking that action.
Taking that first step...taking that first step is extremely difficult, so difficult it took 15 years for me to take it! Once I took that first step though I didn't look back and have kept the momentum going ever since. It gave me the confidence I needed to push the momentum all the way to it's reality. Even though I didn't have my whole plan laid out, taking that firs step made it much easier to decide what to do next.
Success is a choice...being successful in whatever it is that you do is a choice, YOUR choice. If you want to live a healthier lifestyle, it is your choice to exercise and eat better. If you want run that 5k in a few months, it is your choice to run everyday until you achieve that goal. If you want to be successful, it is your choice to put in the work to get it done. I often remind myself that being successful is not a necessity but a choice.
Accountability...hold yourself accountable for taking the steps needed to start that business, to run that marathon to get healthier. It is real easy to tell ourselves we will do this and that and often times do nothing about it. Research shows if you tell someone about what your plans/goals are and tell them to check in on you every now and then the likelihood is that you will get them done. Having that feeling of accountability and not wanted to let that person down or for them to know we have done nothing is the motivation we need to actually get the things done.
Waiting for the perfect time...there is no perfect time! We will always have something that gets in the way of making that dream a reality. It's just another excuse to not do anything about it. The perfect time is NOW. Let's get started today! Schedule a call with me so that we could take that first step together.
